The Journey Begins

Posted on September 1, 2009 by Samner

Megan and I just boarded our flight in San Francisco for Addis Ababa. Before we take off I’d like to thank a few people who have really helped us get to this point. First, Prof. Jim Patell, Prof. Dave Beach, and Erica Estrada for running the Extreme Affordability class, and Erica in particular for launching the Social Entreprenuership Lab. Then there are all of the contributors to the d.school Extreme Affordability fund, because without them our trip back would not be possible. We’ve also recieved tons of help from Stuart Colson, Kevin Starr at Mulago, Todd Johnson of Jones Day and HOPE Enterprises, and Mark Juenette of IDE. And thanks to everyone else who has given support, feedback, advice, tested prototypes, and brainstormed with us!
